Delivering Bread, Sustaining Life in Gaza
Today, more than 1.9 million people are displaced across Gaza, while 1.6 million people face acute food insecurity. For thousands of families, finding enough food each day remains a constant struggle. Bread has become one of the most important staple foods to help families survive through the crisis.
To respond to this urgent need, Human Initiative operates the Palestine Bread Factory in Northern Gaza. The factory produces and distributes fresh bread daily to displaced families, children, older people, and other vulnerable groups. At the same time, the program creates employment opportunities for local residents, helping communities support one another during recovery.
A Local Solution with Real Impact
The Palestine Bread Factory is more than a food assistance program.
By employing local workers and producing bread inside Gaza, the project helps ensure a reliable supply of daily bread while restoring livelihoods for the community. Every loaf produced supports families affected by displacement and hardship.
From 8 January to 8 April 2026, the program:
– Produced and distributed 910,000 loaves of bread.
– Reached 45,500 families across Gaza.
– Engaged 12 local workers in factory operations.

現在、ガザ地区では約190万人が避難生活を余儀なくされており、160万人以上が深刻な食料不足に直面しています。多くの家族にとって、パンは日々の生活を支える最も重要な主食のひとつです。
Human Initiativeは、この緊急事態に対応するため、ガザ北部で**「パレスチナ・ブレッドファクトリー」**を運営しています。工場では現地の人々がパンを製造し、避難民世帯、子どもたち、高齢者、障がいのある方々など、特に支援を必要とする人々へ毎日配布しています。
ガザの人々を支える地域発の取り組み
このプロジェクトは単なる食料支援ではありません。
