Human Initiative Japan Supports Golden Week Special Gathering and IPTIJ 20th Anniversary in Tokyo
Tokyo, May 4, 2025 — At Chofu Green Hall in Tokyo, around 1,500 members of the Indonesian Muslim community in Japan gathered for the Golden Week Special Islamic Gathering, organized by the Indonesian Muslim Family in Japan (KMII). This event also marked the 20th anniversary of the Indonesian Internship and Tokuteiginou Association in Japan (IPTIJ), making it a special moment to strengthen community ties and spiritual connection.
Well-known preacher Ustadz Adi Hidayat delivered an inspiring lecture that drew participants from various regions across Japan, including Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Yokohama, and Nagoya. The warm and spirited atmosphere reflected the community’s longing for meaningful Islamic events while living abroad.

Human Initiative Japan (HIJP) had the opportunity to take part in and support the success of the event by setting up a special booth to promote its Qurban program. At the booth, visitors were able to directly register for Qurban and learn more about how their sacrifice could reach communities in need back in Indonesia.
The event also featured a culinary bazaar offering a variety of Indonesian dishes and products—bringing the comforting taste of home to the hearts of Indonesians living in Japan.
The gathering ran smoothly and was met with great enthusiasm. With the collaboration of Indonesian communities across Japan and the support of Human Initiative Japan, the event became more than just a lecture—it was a celebration of togetherness, faith, and shared identity.
