Distribution of 120 Warm Clothing Packages for Palestinian Refugees Facing the Winter in Egypt
After the ceasefire announcement in early October, the situation in Palestine remains challenging. Even so, thousands of refugees who are now living in various countries, including Egypt, continue to struggle with their daily lives. As temperatures continue to drop, many of them do not have enough supplies to face the winter.
On October 30, 2025, the Human Initiative team in Egypt reported that they distributed warm clothing and blankets in Alexandria. This program is a collaboration between Human Initiative and Bulan Sabit Merah Indonesia (BSMI) to directly support Palestinian survivors as they face increasingly cold weather.
A total of 120 warm clothing packages were delivered to Palestinian refugees and students. This assistance is the first support from Indonesia to be distributed in Alexandria, marking the beginning of humanitarian collaboration for Palestinians living in the city. Currently, Alexandria is home to around 4,000 Palestinian students who are trying to continue their education and daily life despite many limitations.
Blankets are also an urgent need, as many refugees sleep on the floor without enough protection. The warmth from this assistance allows them to rest more comfortably and maintain their health during the cold season.
“This aid really helps us face the cold weather. Thank you to everyone who cares,” said one of the beneficiaries. This simple message reflects the gratitude felt by the refugees for the support they received.
Through this initiative, Human Initiative and BSMI ensure that the assistance reaches the right people and directly supports those who need it most. Together, these efforts show that the care and compassion of the Indonesian community can make a positive impact on those struggling abroad.
Human Initiative invites everyone to take part in this collective effort. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference for those in need. Join us and show your support through human-initiative.jp.
